Q & A

Can I buy a lot before committing to the actual design of my home?
Yes, you can buy your lot now while you work on the design of your new home and the selling of your existing.

How will I know what the total costs will be?
In every case, we will price your design and you will know what you are buying prior to actually starting construction. We recommend this to ensure that you have no surprises when it comes to construction. Your actual home, which will be fully customized for you, will vary in cost depending on your selections and desired upgrades.

What is the anticipated average size of homes in Savannah Village?
Keep in mind that on average, most foot prints of homes will be between 1200-1900 sf, with a two car garage. In addition to that footprint, you may desire additional space in the form of screened in porches, upper 1 ½ story rooms above, two story, or finished lower levels.

What is the anticipated pricing for homes in Savannah Village?
Complete homes (homes, landscaping, in ground water saving sprinkler & soaker system, building site) are likely to range between $299,000 to $425,000 in Savannah Village. Of course, that depends on the size, the level of the finishes you select, and home much of the home is finished.

Let’s say I like the village—what next?
Meet with Julie to determine what type of site location you like best, what kind of plan (one of ours, one of yours? Something in between?) you would like to build, and Julie, along with one of our builders, will help get an estimate of the total cost of the project for you. All through the process, your new builder, either Mastercraft Homes or Neumeister Construction, and the team of designers at Trillium Design, Ltd., will work with you to detail every aspect of your home, and guide you through the process. This way we can be efficient in the building cycle, maximize your value, and minimize any unknowns or potential headaches.

What can I expect in terms of Association costs?
We are anticipating around $115 for the year of 2009 per month. This cost is generally offset by anticipated energy savings just because of how we build!

Are pets allowed?
Of course, and our restrictions mirror the City of Onalaska’s ordinances. You can of course provide for your pet an enclosed private fenced in garden. Talk to Julie on this topic!

Do we own the pond?
No, but we work with the City of Onalaska to maintain it and develop it into a village asset over time.
